Image cataloging program

I am trying to organize my medical teaching files in a logical and coherent fashion, using maybe hierarchical branches for instance.
>Carotid Folder
>>Stenosis Folder
>>>Stenosis Patient Cases folder
>>Occlusion folder
>>>Occlusion Patient Folder
>Dialysis Folder

I hope that makes sense, I want to be able to store pictures of the cases so I can readily access them, and maybe even drag them into powerpoint easily.

I don't understand the question - can't you just use hierarchal folders?
