I have an imac computer that has windows xp installed on it via bootcamp. It has recently began to only boot in windows xp.

I've tried going to my control panel in windows and selecting mac as the os to restart in and that didn't work.

I also tried holding down the option key while booting the computer and windows xp is the only choice that comes up.

Have I lost my mac os completely?

It appears that your OS X volume has somehow lost its ability to boot. Try doing a PRAM reset first. If that doesn't work, post back and we'll go from there.

And go into System Preferences > Startup Disk and see if Mac OS X is listed there. If so select and restart. If not the formatting of the disk to NTFS has wiped the drive clean. You have to be so careful setting up Bootcamp and making sure you are actually formatting the partition and not the computer.
