I have an iMac 6,1 Intel Core 2 Duo 2.16 GHz system with a 24" screen, 3 GB RAM, and the stock NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT graphics card. Purchased in late 2006 I believe. All I've done is upgrade the RAM from 1 to 3 GB. Running Snow Leopard as the OS.
I've read in several places that the processor and graphics card are upgradable for my machine. How would I find what the fastest processor to fit in my computer would be? Same with the graphics card. What's the best one I could get? I'm competent to install them myself, and my iMac's out of warranty anyway, but I have no idea where to begin looking or even HOW to find out how highly I could upgrade them.
Thanks.
