Hello all, first post here.

I have acquired an iMac G3 500 (Summer 2001 500MHZ) and have had a problem when it comes to the initial bootup. Upon bootup, I hear a bit of static coming from the front, followed by a loud beep. Nothing appears on the screen at all. Any ideas on what might be the problem here?

One beep is usually associated with either no memory or faulty memory. Open it up and see if any memory modules are actually installed. It can handle only 1GB of memory, 2 x PC-100 3.3V 168-pin SDRAM.

Yep, just checked and it has no memory. Will be ordering some and go from there. Thanks for the help!
