Your Mac's Specs
MacBook Air 13" , 21.5" iMac i5, White iPhone 4s 32gig, iPad 3 white 16 gig, i5 Mac Mini
I have a macbook pro and I play world of warcraft , since dalaran is otherwise known as lagaran, I get about 45 fps on my macbook pro on my 9600gt graphics card in it. So if your getting the imac with the higher end graphics cards like 4850 you'll be way more then good enough. I also play steam games and play cod 4 on it just fine so you should be more then ok. if your talking about getting only the 9400 then no , big gaming will not be so great.

You will be able to play games just fine. I have the i5 iMac and when I ran Left 4 Dead 2 in Windows (via Bootcamp) it's recommended settings was 1080p. I knocked it down because I really didn't need it that high. It was also a brand new machine so I thought I was being too hard on it. :)

You will have no problems playing games on the i5 iMac. I can't wait for Steam to be released on OSX
