iMac 21.5" can not power on

Hi all,

We have iMac 21.5 inch, Model A 1311, EMC 2308 and can not power on when press power button, we don't hear any beep or sound and light on power button.

We also borrow my friend's power supply, and still not solved.

Does logic board or processsor is damage ?

What do you mean by "borrowed" friends power supply?

G5 I take it.

Most likely dead power supply bad caps on the main board basically it is dead

Do you really mean take the power supply out of his iMac and pop it into yours?

I guess what I was asking was. Are you saying you took a compatible power supply out of your friends iMac…and installed it in your iMac…and your iMac will still not power on?

Kind of unusual for a friend to have an iMac with the exact power supply that works in your iMac. Also a pretty darn good friend to let you remove their iMac's power supply & install it in your iMac!
