Thats retarded

How? If I buy the songs of the CD on iTunes, it'll run me ten bucks. If I buy a new CD for 15, sell it for 4, get store credit and buy more CDs at 7 bucks a pop at the used CD store, copy them, resell them for 4, and take the cash, I save more money that using iTunes. I buy a ton of music, and this is a completely, 100% legal way of doing it.

And what's the guy who's been here for two days taking shots at me for?

I have heard that you are just as likely to fall out of bed and break your neck..than getting busted for downloading music....I know people think that it is wrong, and I respect that, but if it is so illegal then why is it readily available on more than a few freeware programs.

I have heard that you are just as likely to fall out of bed and break your neck..than getting busted for downloading music....

So if you don't get caught, then it's ok?

I know people think that it is wrong, and I respect that, but if it is so illegal then why is it readily available on more than a few freeware programs.

a.) It's intellectual property.
b.) You didn't pay for it.
c.) The programs that can download illegally also have legal uses (i.e. downloading free torrents and such.)

Let me rephrase..why doesn't our glorious government shut down sites like limewire etc.?

Because, so long as there's a legitimate legal purpose for the program, then there's no reason to shut it down.

I personally prefer to have the actual albums on CD if it is an artist I like. I have many CD's that have only ever been used once to put the music on my Mac or PC. We use the PC for music at home and ipods when we're out - The CD's just sit there looking pretty, but it makes me feel better.

I'm the exact same, Music on my Mac is 95% Legit there are a few songs in there but not many. As when I got my Mac I never transferred my Library as I had so much crap.

Also the great thing about CDs are that they are DRM Free which saves any trouble playing them on numerous devices such as my Xbox 360.

Just Buy the CDs then Rip them, That's my Advice

Limewire isn't a site, and the U.S. government would have a heckuva chore trying to shut down a computer in Swaziland.

They'd have a fun time trying to shut down a computer in Toronto.
