iCloud mail delivery failures

for the past few weeks, i've been finding that I am not receiving emails. (one sender tells me they sent something and I haven't gotten it; or it is delivered days later; or delivered multiple times.)

Yesterday I notice a dozen emails in my gmail account (which forwards to my iCloud account) that state they they are "delayed deliveries" and "will attempt X more times to deliver" etc.

Is anyone else having mail delivery issues? I"m not seeing any discussion of it on the web or the apple support site.

Yesterday, I had a couple friends tell me they received failure notices.

I sent a couple of test emails to myself from different accounts, so I assumed it was a limited time issue. But I don't know if that is true or not.

Just got one of those myself tonight. But still getting emails. And the one referenced in the bounce actually arrived a day or two ago.
