OK so still have the ibook.

Was trying to repair it for a noob on here but it keep having issues.

I showed them an item on ebay (2006 macbook) and they bought it.

Anyway I want to repair the G4 (yes I know not really worth it)

It now has a new 160GB HDD as the 60GB died.

Installed 10.5 but the HDD area gets very hot and it shuts down.

It was ok with tiger and the 60GB drive.
im reinstalling tiger to see if it is a 10.5 thing but I doubt it.

So far:

maxed ram out with old stuff laying around.

New battery

2nd hand charger

New 160GB HDD

needs replacement keyboard as left shift fell off.

Yes stop telling me not worth it, I want fix it...

OK so stopped the freezing over heating problem.

pulled battery and drained all power over night.

now working and fresh install of 10.5

Just needs keyboard now.

Last night my fiancee decided to play with the ibook because it is white.

She has a white samsung Tab S with white Bluetooth keyboard, white Bluetooth headphones her galaxy s7 edge is gold as they did not have white.

She has a samsung laptop but always gets a virus, her record is 5 minutes after I factory reset and give it her back.
So mac be better for me lol.

One issue she has is ITV player/hub.
Cannot use it as need flash 10.2 and PPC only supports 10.1
intel 10.5.8 supports flash 10.3

Now upgraded to 10.5.8 running well for its age.
still has broken keyboard, but just won a broken unit on ebay for £0.99 plus £6.00 postage.

Hope to fix and have a few spares.

She quite liked the mac and fact it is shiny white kinda helps lol.
