iBook Display Problem

I've had this problem with my iBook's display brightness for a few weeks already. The problem is that whenever I adjust the lid, the display will be dim abit and then it will go back to normal brightness again. This happens every time I adjust the lid.

I've never experience this kind of problem with my Dell notebook. I wonder if this is a normal thing with Apple notebooks?

how long have you had your ibook? you may have a short in the video cable. it happens in some older ibooks after a while.
