i have ausa flag taken on this screenshot how to remove thanks

i think i got that usa flag by clicking on speical characters yea thats that and how do i take that out from there i dont think its supposed to be there thanks?

Click and drag it off of the menu bar, will remove it also.

That doesn't work on the flag or the wifi thing, I tried it. It just brings a drop down menu.

don't forget to hold down the command key when you click and drag

OK, that solved, how can I get /that/ flag to be up there instead of the Union flag?
