thank you guys, i got a question. the mbp came with iworks but i guess its just a trial and i dont want it on there...how do i go about uninstalling it? and i read somewhere here there was a program to get rid of the other languages that comes with the laptop to free up space. i looked but i couldnt find it...if someone could help with that, that would be great.

thanks again!! pics will be up asap!

EDIT to add: oh also for the shortcuts what is the "^" button??

I'm a relatively new MBP user too and would also be interested to know about the program which can remove the additional languages assistance, if anyone knows where to download it..

Congrats!

If you are new to Macs, it is better to keep the language packages until you know what you are doing. Removing critical components may cause unwanted problems.

Or you can use Delocalizer - I used it earlier this evening and it freed up 1.5GB for me :) I actually left a fe other European languages on there - if I hadn't done that I think you can claim back up to about 2 - 2.5 GB.
