Re-reading over the thread, I'm thinking that the two things are not even related.

Like the "virus" came via the FPT remote file transfer and the PC share is showing care of Bonjour or whatever name or the OS X just letting them know there's a Windows PC available to share with if they want.

PS: Did anyone notice the Apple Programmers poke at the Windows OS share image in post #1 with the PC icon showing the Window's "blue screen of death"??? ;D

If I am not mistaken that icon for file sharing has been in the OS for a long time. I think it had been there for a while before I noticed. I thought it was funny. My Windows using friends did not.
