My new monitor arrives today and I thought I'd give my old A1314 keyboard and A1339 trackpad a clean up. Both circa 2009 and brought back to 'as new' condition cosmetically. I used medical swabs with Isopropyl Alcohol and the results are stunning with no adverse side effects.
