I-Book startup issue

I am an IT person, and I can't get an I book of a person I am helping started. The reset doesn't work. Nothing works to make the thing turn on. The battery is charged and the computer is plugged in. It started this when it appartently went to sleep. I can't do anything for it. He was using Sibelius and printing when it happened. If you can do anything please reply!
