Hello all,

I've got a mb since a few days, and one thing I still haven't found - how do I type special characters on the macbook, like accents on letters, inverted question mark, ...

It's very easy to do on linux, but I just can't figure out how it should work on Mac.

Thanks!

There are two things you can activate via the System Preferences -> International -> Input Menu.

Simply tick ON Character Palette and Keyboard Viewer.

These two options will show up in the menubar, under the language for your keyboard (see attached file).

I have attached a screenshot of the Character Palette and the Keyboard Viewer so you can see what these do and look like.

Ok, thanks, that's one way. No way to do it "while typing"?

If i have to start typing spanish letters through that, I'm going to be busy for hours...

For certain characters, you can use a combination of Option and Option + Shift and it all depends on the font that is in use.
