please help me as quickly as possible, l need to know how to Transfer Voice Memo From my mac to my mother's iphone5s. some are .aiff files others .mp4 after some audacity software trimming.
l need to have this done asap! l know how to transfer from my iphone to computer or computer to my iphone. but when l click on my mother's iphone under "Devices", select "Music" then select "Sync Music" it says "Are you sure you want to remove existing music, movies, TV shows, books, and tones from this iPhone and sync with this iTunes library?"
l dont want to modify her collection at all but just want to add that one track which is too large for email ~200MB. I would even use bluetooth or attach to my "mail" on my mac which is same address as my yahoo account but they dont seem to work :(
kindly understand the urgency

thanks

Hi

As the matter is very urgent, I'll tell you the method I use although whether it suits your needs...

I use a pay-for app called PhoneView (can't recall exact cost, but it is modest). This app allows transfer to/from Mac to/from iPhone when the latter is connected to your Mac via USB. Apart from voice memos; pictures, messages, music can also flow in either direction.

It may be that a simpler solution already exists on the Mac itself or that there are alternative methods, but as speed seems to be of the essence, I've told you how I do it.

Good luck.

Ian

Let me first comment on the statements above in bold - all posters would like to have their questions answered in a timely manner, but using 'urgent verbiage' is not only poor forum etiquette but assumes that your issue(s) are more important than others; and to tell you the truth, if I see such terminology in a post, I will tend to ignore it - just saying.

Now, as to you wanting to transfer the audio file(s) to your mother's iPhone - a 'wireless' option will be needed, i.e. a cloud based service. But some of the choices will depend on which iOS & OS X versions are on the Apple devices, which was not provided. As an example of a service now available to transfer files between a Mac & iDevice, please read this Apple support article on AirDrop - if the iPhone has @ least iOS 7.x and your Mac has been upgraded to Yosemite, then likely the easiest choice. If not possible, then some other cloud service might help - I use Dropbox to transfer files between my MBPro & iPad but that is under the same account/email address - have not explored the options if your mother has a different email address from yours, which I assume is true.

Well let me stop there and see if my first suggestion if feasible for you? Dave :)

Got to dropbox.com, log in, find the file. Tell dropbox you want to SHARE that file, email the share link to your mom's phone. Open that email, click on the link and it will download to the phone. That should work.

Hello again - yep, AirDrop between OS & iOS requires Yosemite - I'm delaying upgrading to OS 10.10.x on our Macs until at least one or several minor updates are released, so I could not use the feature either.

As to Dropbox, I've only used the service between my iPad & MBPro - have not tried Jake's suggestion but will be curious if the process works for you. Dave :)
