I have a ipod 5G, and I use it to record lectures for some of my classes using the xtrememac micromemo. I tried to download them to my computer, but when I connect to itunes, it says that my ipod is corrupt and I need to restore it. How can I safely transfer the voice memos to my computer without having to erase and restore my ipod?

Can you play the memos back on the iPod?

If so, you can plug a mini audio connector into the headphone out jack on the iPod and run it into the line in on your Mac and use Garageband to record the audio track.
From there you can export it into iTunes.
