Something called 'mds' is using up the highest percentage of resources, according to the CPU monitor. What is this and how can I close it? It's gotten to the point where as soon as Leopard boots up, the fan goes crazy.
I got the 2GB RAM and it's still going crazy. I will be browsing a random site with Opera and suddenly it's using up 99% of resources, according to the iSlayer activity monitor, while the fan gets loud and the little pinwheel cursor spins for minutes on end. Why is this?!? I upgraded the RAM to avoid stupid crap like this. Help!
