So recently i noticed I meet the system requirements for airdrop but it was know where to be found there wasn't even a option in system preferences to turn it on or engage it i have the correct wifi card and model of computer no airdrop.

i have a macbook air I5 1.7 ghz

i know i meet the requirements so i did some digging if you meet the system requirements and it doesn't show up

Go to terminal and place this in then relaunch finder and airdrop will appear

defaults write com.apple.NetworkBrowser BrowseAllInterfaces 1

enjoy airdrop.

It should have been in Finder. To turn it on, all you needed to do was Open finder, then Preferences and Sidebar and click on AirDrop to display it.
