how to clean screen

What should I do to clean my screen? I have lots of fingerprints. So can I just use windex or should i be using something special?

I use a microfiber cloth and dampen one corner in distilled water and wipe down and use
the dry corners to buff.

Can it just be tap water?

Tap water leaves streaks has deposits in it .

For the gloss screen, you can pretty much just breathe on the area you want to clean so it fogs up and just use the cloth that was supplied with the Mac (just like you would with sunnies).

Yup. Makes me wish I knew this before I bought my monitor wipes. But hey, they're alcohol-free and don't leave streaks as long as I wipe with a microfiber cloth afterwards. I don't know - it just makes me feel like I'm getting a slightly deeper cleaning. Maybe. Maybe not. But it's not doing any harm. *shrug*

This topic comes up frequently and people usually caution against using Windex on your screen but I've always used it on my MacBook (glossy screen). Has anyone ever had any problems using Windex?
