That' guys is a 190% f'ing moron!

1.) IT'S A F'ING DUAL G5!!
2.) The parents would probably be more understandable in taking back the G5 for another computer rather than taking a $3k computer and turning into $15 worth of scrap metal!!!

SOB!!!

I FEEL LIKE STABBING MYSELF!!!

SHIIZZZAAAA!!

>.<

things like that never really bother me, but thats just taking it too far, i even emailed him asking if he was mental!

how the f**k do you turn a top line G5 into a bag of crap like that? and i cant beleive hes only used a crap motherboard and CPU

what a moron, i hope his dad finds out and sends him to live with distant relatives, or at least bans him from touching computers for life

I thought it was so sad.

Here was a person who was intelligent enough to know how to take apart a G5 and redesign it to work like a computer. However, the person considered it to be too much trouble to learn how to use a G5, which would have taken a lot less effort, but thought it would be a better plan to turn the G5 into PC.

A waste of money, a waste of time, a waste of effort, and despite all the person knows it was still a waste of intelligents. I mean when someone has a brain in their head and doesn't know how to use it I think that is sad.

I don't think I would call him intelligent . If he was so smart. He would have expain to his parents about the cost of new software for the G5. That if he returned the G5, he could get his beloved Dell and run is old software. i think his parent would understand that logic. But to destroy a perfectly good computer, in order to get a PC is not logical.

and not only did he rip apart and amazing machine he didnt even make that great of a PC.

I understand his ignorance and being all PC rules sorta mentality but the least you could do if you are going to ruin it is put together a high end PC.

I mean come on hes using mobo graphics instead of a Radeon, 72 gb of HD instead of 160 gb SATA. id be willing to be his parents got him 1GB of ram and hes probably using 512 of some crap with his 2200 athlon processor.

why?

This makes me really mad. Did he even bother to turn it on and just give OS X a try? How can you like xp better then panther, its mind boggling. And like has been said,he built a crap pc...... I could've probably bought an empty g5 case, sent it to him so he could assemble his little pc, and taken the mac and laughed at his lack of intellect. I emailed him and told him how the g5 stacks up to that pc he made......and made a point of saying what more software do you need besides the iLife apps and office x? It just doesn't make any sense to me.......

Ed NOTE: I just received this email from Andy:

[size=-1]"I have been feeling a little guilty about causing so many people out there to have nightmares, depression and sickness from my little joke. The reaction of people word wide has blown me away. I never intended for such a thing to happen.

My in box went from 1% to 100% in 2 days (1300 messages). So many people were pointing out what a stupid thing to do, so many people were telling me of feeling sick, some even said they cried. I felt bad for those people. It was amusing to read things like "I should be hung by my testicles and lit on fire" or the constant reference to "Taking a Porsche and replacing the engine with a KIAs". Most people cried out in horror and carefully pointed out the error of doing such a silly thing.

I am sure you are wondering why this all took place.

Are the pictures real? Yes.
Is it my own G5 case that has been cut and hacked? Yes.
Did I give away two G5 2GHz processors (IBM PC 970)? No!
So what happened?

I got a free G5 shell from a buddy of mine and pulled a prank on a Mac loving friend. He got so upset. I wrote up a little story, my imagination and warped sense of humor kicked in. I sent it to OC.com just to see the reaction. I honestly didn't think it was going to be posted. I cannot believe how fast or how far it has spread on the internet. There are an amazing number of people who are emotionally attached to inanimate objects such as computers. Mac fans seem to be much worse that I ever expected. The G5 is amazing, I would never dream of really doing that ;) Andy - G5 Killer"

if i got a free G5 shell i would put PC components in there .. or at least something cool like turn it into a mini fridge.. but thats a mean trick to play on mac users.. they know we have an unnatural attachment to our computers!
