How access ipad?

Hey guys, friend of mine got a used ipad but when he powers it on, the next screen shows a lot of numbers, I am guessing this is to enter a password? If so, what can he do with this please?

Go back to the original owner and get the 4 digit passcode. Also, have the original owner clear the iPad from "Find my iPhone", sign out of iCloud, and clear his Apple ID from the iPad. All of those things need to be accomplished when purchasing a used mobile device or a Mac.

Well, your friend is out of luck, I'm afraid - :(

Without knowing the passcode, the only option is to cabled the iPad to the computer on which the device was synced and do a restoration - see the information HERE - Dave :)
