High Sierra to Yosemite Downgrade

Is there a full step/procedure on downgrading your Macbook Air to Yosemite from High Sierra? Because when i updated my Macbook Air which was on Yosemite to High Sierra, The performance is rather sluggish. So I'm looking around and seeing if theres a step by step on downgrading to Yosemite again.

I'm currently downloading OS X Yosemite and installing it on a bootable flash drive.
But im curious on what are the steps to downgrading back to Yosemite.

one option - use Time Machine to restore to a time just before the update.

otherwise,
1. make sure you have a complete backup (Time Machine will do)
2. start from the USB installer,
3. Use Disk Utility and erase or re-partition the drive
4. install

(PS = I'd bet that there's an actual cause to the sluggishness, not High Sierra)

Thank you for your suggestion, I have already/successfully installed OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 on my Macbook Air now and it's working fine now.

Also Apple appears to be stopping, or have stopped security updates for Yosemite and Dropbox may no longer work with this OS:
