I just got my new macbook and i have some dvds full of music, i transferred the music to a folder which i created in the music folder, when i try and put the music in itunes then it duplicates everything.

The music i am importing is in mp3 format if it matters.

Can anyone help?

When I put music on my Macbook from a cd, it went to the folder I made and when I added to my iTunes library, I had duplicate songs. I just deleted the songs that went into the folder I made and it was fine.
