Help With What I Need In MacBook...

I'm looking at purchasing a Pro or Air. Aside from casual use like email and web searches, all I really do is import music in lossless format and keep lots of photos.
I wanted an Air for its light weight, however someone told me that it won't have enough storage for my uses so I really should consider the Pro with a higher capacity.
I'm looking for advice like, do I need i5 or i7, how much capacity, etc.

If the only issue is not enough storage, why not just get the air and an external hard drive? Amazon usually has good prices on 1TB drives. If you happen to have a costco membership, I remember my parents telling me they saw a 3TB one for $119 a couple of weeks ago...no point in spending the extra money on a pro if you aren't going to actually need the extra features.
