Hi all, I recently took a MAC Powerbook G4 (2001) from a friend. She told me before that it had some problems, but should be ok. I shall be trying to use the laptop for my djing in clubs/bars etc, with a program called "Traktor Pro 2" which then will be able to connect up to my decks etc. The first problem I have found out is that it will not find/connect to my wireless internet source. Also the speakers do not work. Do you think I should take it into my local Apple store, for them to have a look? Also will this DJ software work on a laptop that is 10 years old? Your comments will appriacted Thanks David

Could you post the full spec of the Powerbook, processor speed etc., then wecan check into minimum requirements for the software.
With regard to wi-fi, it may well not have an Airport card.
A look at the system profiler will tell you (click "about this mac" under the Apple, and click "more info")

It has got an airport card, as it is picking up other wireless connection but not my home one. My Iphone and other laptops can access the wireless connection easily

A computer that old will not be able to access WPA2 networks, only the folder and less secure WEP networks.
