Help With Missing Folder

Hi

My laptop HD recently stopped working and I had to replace it with a SSD. Before it failed I put a "vital records" folder in my library folder under a dummy name for security purposes. I am able to access my old HD as an external drive. When I try to locate that vital records folder in my library folder it's no longer there. Does anyone know where the folder may be or how I would find it?

What do you mean with " .... under a dummy name " ?
Can't you do a spotlight search for "vital records" ( without the quotes ) on that drive ?
As with all things ... you can only find things if you know what to look for

And what Library folder are you talking about? There is a Library in the root of the drive and again another in each of the user folders.
