Help with Images?

Hi

I'm trying to change some images into ASCII type format. I've been told by a
PC user I need Ascgen2, but this is a Windows Programme and comes as an
.exe file

Would any Mac experts know of an equivalent OS X programme similar to Ascgen2 so that I can change the images?
