I searched the forum looking for cd/dvd buring software and I saw a lot of the posts were about Toast but I don't have the $80 to spend on it.

Is Disco burning software okay?

Here is why I want to get the software: I tried to copy a cd using the Mac burn folder or disk utility and it made the cd into a .dmg file so my friends windows computer didn't like it.

I really like Disco and it's fun to boot. Works fine for me and is a good price for what it does.

Best way to get your questions answered is by going to their website:

I believe it can.. I should say I don't see why it couldn't.. I just have never done it :)

I checked out their site.

I downloaded the free trial and changed the settings so it wouldn't make .dmg files but it still did. How do I get past the .dmg? I want the files extentsions to stay the same not change.

The .dmg file is just for when you put in your new CD then it should burn the contents of the dmg into the new CD, NOT the .dmg file itself...

I copied the ISO image off the cd and Disco made it a DMG file. Maybe I did something wrong.
