I have been trying to install my rosetta stone disc on my mac that was working fine on my windows computer. It shows up as a collection of files titled ARA01_01, etc. It doesn't bring me to the installation screen or prompt me to do anything. How do I make it work?

I had the same kind of problem. Solved by contacting Rosetta Stone tech help.

I can't remember how it was done (it was some time ago), but I recall that they were very helpful.

Good luck.

Is it a hybrid-disk, meaning, is it designed to be able to install on either Windows or Mac, or is it a Windwos-only installer.

I know RS supports both platforms, but I don't know if they ship seperate versions for each OS.

Either way, I'd call RS Tech support!

If it is an older disc, it may be windows only. I tried the same thing, but it turned out that they switched to using hybrid discs since I bought my rosetta stone a few years back.

Just out of curiosity what did they suggest to fix things? The answer may help others with the same problem.

Hi Lori - now you've responded to a 7 year-old thread and much has changed, e.g. Apple computers no longer have CD drives, so the CD-ROM cannot be used unless an external drive is available or as a download, I assume. Also, need to check w/ Rosetta Stone's FAQ to make sure that macOS Sierra is even supported. Dave :)
