SpotLight search for:

preferences.plist

Remove the plist to your Trash but don't empty yet.

Log out/back in or reboot and see if that fixes things. :dive:

Try this, from the Go menu, choose Go to Folder.

Type:

~/Library/Caches

Click Go.

Drag the file named "com.apple.preferencepanes.cache" to the Trash.

Open (your hard drive): System: Library: Preference Panes

Is "Accounts.prefPane" there?
If so, double click it and see what happens.

If not...man, are you having a bad day!

Follow this file path:

/Users/Home/Library/Preferences/com.apple.systempreferences.plist

Remove the file "com.apple.systempreferences.plist" from that location.

Reopen your System Preferences after you have removed the file.
The Accounts pane should return upon reopening your System Preferences, then.
