Help on macbook

Hi,

I have had my macbook since 2009 and i really dont know how to use it :( I very much brought it for the garageband tool to record demos etc and now i have lost all my loops? I dont remember deleting them but they are no longer there!

Also I have the original OS system I believe and im looking at lion but its say to go in via the mac app store which i dont have and cant find how to get it as it doesnt come up in the software update?

My warranty has obviously expired and i really feel stupid for not adapting to apple as i have the iphone and ipad also and dont think i am getting the best out of all of them!

Help!! :) Ben

Is your OS Leopard(10.5)? You will have to upgrade to Snow Leopard to get the App Store and Lion.

Look in your Applications folder for the App Store.
I doubt you lost anything unless you put it in the trash and then emptied it.
Look in about this mac and see what OS number you are running.
