Message: <blockquote data-quote="yaroldb" data-source="post: 366510" data-attributes="member: 29393"><p>What do you mean you likely already have one?  Cross over cable is not the same as Ethernet patch cable (the blue wire that connects your modem to your router).  The wiring inside the cables are aligned differently.   Also, if you disconnect the modem from the router, this will not make it instantly work.   If the router is bad(or gets bad after to much traffic), cutting of the internet portion won’t help. For god sake, just spend the $10 on a CROSS OVER cable and it will work.</p></blockquote><p></p>
