HELP! 4od, Veoh and BBC I-player not working!

Hi, i've been looking for a solution for this problem for sooooo long and every other post i find either seems to peter out or doesn't work.

The issue is - When i go to a site like Veoh and try to play a video it just doesn't load! just a black square, not even a play button! some sites do work (like youtube, mega video etc) but Veoh and 4od don't - with BBC i-play i get a script error and then the video does play but i'm unable to pause it or anything.

I've got - Mac Mini, 2.15GHz intel, 2 GB SD RAM and i'm using Firefox...

Any suggestions?
