• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

Hauppage HD PVR on a Macbook White?

I know a lot of people already have posted this thread, but I can't seem to find a definitive answer.

What I am attempting to do is record high definition gameplay videos from my PS3, I have read that a Hauppage HD PVR works when eyeTV 3.0's software is present, but I am attempting to find a way to run the HD PVR without being forced to buy the eyeTV software (torrenting is out of the question), if you could link me to a high definition Mac native capture card, that would be great too.

Thanks for your help!

This software will control and record from the HD PVR - I've played with it, and plan to buy it - its fairly cheap and has converted previous captures quite nicely.
