I've been happily using InCase's hardshell case for my MacBook Pro. They crack, but I still like them. It's time to get a new one, and I thought I would check to see what everyone else is using before I re-up on my InCase (which is $50 plus 15% discount coupon from InCase = $35).

Thanks.

I've always been a fan of Speck hardshell cases. Not saying they're the super super best...just seems like I always ended up with them:

Also...here's a pretty good "Best hardshell cases" article. Could include some unfamiliar brands to check out. Of course price is always a consideration. Most of the brands mentioned in the article seem to indicate they don't have them for 2020 MacBook Pro's. Maybe it's too soon (close to release date of these models)...and maybe they'll eventually have them for 2020 models as well.:)

@nick: A truly outstanding, helpful article. ¡Thanks mucho!

Question: Does my laptop have one of these numbers: A2159 A1989 A1706 A1708? When I pull down About This Mac, I see the date 2017, but I do not see an "A" number.

When you turn your MacBook Pro over, what does it say on the bottom panel?

Or, if you have the original box it came in, look at the identifying label.

^^Well, I'll be damned. It says (on the box) Model No. A1706.

Thanks.

Are they any more durable than the cheapies I replace about twice a year?
