HandBrake replacement App - MediaFork.

Apache crashed on the server, and the guy who owns it is out for the next week on vacation.

You can get a good copy from MacUpdate.

awesome! Got it now. Yet again, the .dmg didn't work, so in the end I had my brother mount it on his powerbook and bluetooth it to me. So finally, I can use it!

I had tried versiontracker, but they just had a direct link to the mediafork site.

This seems to be a hit and miss thing. I believe that MacUpdate has an onsite hosted copy that is good.

actually, the macupdate one didn't work for me either, which I why I eventally had to use a different mac. It was only that .dmg, and I very rarely get a problem like that.

Is the beta version of MediaFork as good as the current release of HandBrake? I really don't feel like comparing the two myself. Any thoughts?

I am having issues. I want to rip a dvd for use on my ipod since I have not seen it yet and want to watch it in between classes when I have no work to do, but it is telling me there is no dvd inserted... any ideas?

Does the DVD mount on your desktop even? You can click the second option and point it to the Video_TS folder on the DVD itself.

got it on first try here. looks similiar to HB.

although i cant really test it. my battery in my macbook has gone BLAH, and my cpu only gets to 1ghz until i get a new battery in it!

I;m installing mediafork to give it a try.... within the .dmg are (2) folders... and "api" folder and a "doc" folder.... what do I need to do with these.... Can I simple drag the Mediafork icon to my apps.. and trash the rest? How about the "MediaForkCLI" and "libmediafork.dylib" files???

Baggss, or anyone else with some insider information- Any idea when the MediaFork for Windows is getting a GUI? I'm tired of having to use my slower MacBook DVD drive to have to rip my DVD's. For once, I would rather use my pee-cee.
