They merged back together when the original author of HB (titer) contacted the new MF team and gave them his permission to officially take over the project. This occurred shortly after the release of MF 0.8.0 Beta 1.

For those with G5 machines, there is a G5 optimized verion of the current release out there. This version vastly improves the performance of HB on a G5 machine.
