Sorry, we cannot process your order.

We have detected that you are currently located outside the United States or Canada, and as a result, we cannot place your order at this time.

If this information is incorrect or if you are a US / Canadian citizen, please confirm below to continue with your order.

I confirm I am a US / Canadian citizen, continue with my order Return to Hallmark site, if I click on I am a us/canadian citizen it takes me to purchase page to fill in my card details , would I be right in thinking if I fill in my card and personal details and click on confirm payment that I would then be able to download the software

That is a question for Hallmark. I will say that there are keys in the credit card numbers that will allow them to detect that your card is from UK, not US, so it may not work if, in fact, the card is from a UK financial institution.

Why bother to go through all the problems and hassles to get and use their software when they're there are lots of other choices for as good, if not better, software and some of it even free?

Check out the list of all the listed software available here:

Or limit the choice to the free versions that are available:
Edit
Lots of choices and no hassles to download or use.

Edit:

Don't forget you probably already have a good birthday card maker software on your Mac if you have Pages installed. As a Google search says:
To find and use a birthday card template in Apple Pages on a Mac, open Pages, choose "New from Template," and then search for or browse through the templates until you find a birthday card template. You can then double-click on the template to open it and customize it to your liking.

Just some alternative thoughts for you to consider. 😊

I've been hearing from users that Hallmakr doesn't have a version that runs under Sequoia either. So many folks are looking at alternatives:

Swift Publisher $20
http://www.belightsoft.com/products/swiftpublisher/overview.php

PrintShop $50 (not compatible with Sequoia)
https://www.broderbund.com/the-print-shop-for-macintosh

The Print Shop MacKiev (for SCHOOLS ONLY in the U.S., but for everyone elsewhere)
https://www.mackiev.com/printshop4/
(not the same as the Broderbund product)

FotoJet $15

ClickBook $130

These free greeting card template for Apple's free program Pages that make creating greeting cards really easy:

I've been hearing from users that Hallmakr doesn't have a version that runs under Sequoia either. So

Also, like others, I stopped using it many years ago, mainly because of the company's ethics and treatment of many of their suppliers, but I'm not going to get into graphics and questionable business practices here. I'll just say I didn't agree with their methods and I used other software that was just as good, if not better. 😊

I just thought I would mention my opinion about the company and their card software.

The list that Randy just supplied above certainly gives a lot of good alternatives to choose from.

PrintShop $50 (not compatible with Sequoia)
The Print Shop for MAC

We used to use this product a great deal many years ago back in Mac O S System 8 and 9 days and it was a wonderful program that suited us well.
But I thought I should just mention their site now says it is compatible and works in Sequoia:
Note: Need to install the program on more than one computer? Add flexibility to use on up to 3 Macintosh computers in a single household. The option to add 3 licenses (Family Edition) is available in the drop-down menu below for an additional $20.The Print Shop For MAC runs-on OS’s Sequoia, Catalina,Big Sur,Monterey,Ventura and Sonoma.

Edit:

PS: I just thought I should mention that there are lots of free images that can be download or copied and paste from the internet and used for creating cards as long as you don't contravene the copyright rules.
Many are available as long as they are not used for commercial use with just a search on the web but just include anniversary, birthday, retirement Etc, ie:

I respect but question their judgment regarding Hallmark and their ethics and I would humbly suggest she do some searching and check up how they cheat some of their suppliers and other questionable business practices they perform. We had a local artist friend who got caught up several years ago with the company with a very unpleasant experience and she also lost a fair amount of money from their so-called high ethics. It was a very unpleasant and expensive experience for her.

I just wanted to mention her experience that might change your wife's view of the company.
