Haddad: Apple's big advantage is being small
August 28, 2003 - 11:00 EDT In his latest column for BusinessWeek, Charles Haddad says Apple does have at least one advantage with its small marketshare: being immune to viruses such as this month's Blaster and SoBig worms that wreaked havoc on PCs. "In bemoaning the Mac's puny market share, the Wintel crowd misses the growing advantage of being small," writes Haddad. "Neither the disgruntled nor the crusader wants to bother attacking a computer that represents only 3% of worldwide PC sales. You see, going after such a small target won't earn you front-page headlines."
