Glossy or Not

What should I do.
I will be video editing, viewing movies, picture editing, and what not?
Please help!!!!

For what you are doing, I would say glossy.

I use mine for Web/Graphic Design + school and Matte works best for me.

When I saw the Glossy & Matte together in the Apple store, I instantly knew I wanted the Matte screen, for me the glossy was too bright and glared a lot.

Where will you be using the Macbook Pro? If you'll be using it in a room with a lot of flourescent lights or outdoors, then I would suggest staying away from glossy as the glare will get to be annoying. Otherwise, glossy looks absolutely beautiful :black:

If you are doing serious photo editing, get the matte. If you are dabbing with iPhoto and don't need to worry about color matching get the glossy.

I agree with Rizzo. Based on what you do, I would say glossy. It would enhance the graphics appearance. But it also depends because, as said by Kash.. if you are using it in a heavily lighted place, the glare may get annoying.

This man speaks the truth. Though I'd get the matte anyway for the lack of glare.

I am sure some people may love the glossy, but even in the mac store where lighting was not exactly bright....the glare would drive me nuts when editing images.

I think the Matte looks much like the cinema display and went with that. Have not received it, so have not used it but that is why I made the choice.

I watch a lot of movies and do a little bit of photo editing here and there and am extremely happy I went with the matte finish. My roomate has a Macbook with a glossy screen and I hate it. That's just my 2 cents though.
