Thanks Creative Guy
I really liked rapid weaver (even more than the sandvox beta which i ended up using to design a site with instead) when i tried it out a year or so ago - so to get it for free is awesome

5. Spam: No Soliciting / Adverstising / Spamming. This includes advertising for your own site or forum. Use the Buy, Sell, or Trade forum for all private sales.

Uh oh, that may have been the wrong answer...

Except that I:
1. Didn't solicit anything
2. Didn't advertise a product or service that I own or provide
3. Didn't post "Go to my site" over and over and over again with no other reason other than to advertise my own site
4. I wasn't trying or implying to buy, sell or trade anything

So I wasn't soliciting, advertising or spamming.

I know some people like to play forum cop, and sometimes there is a need to do so. But I think most of us realize exactly what those rules are meant for, and we also know that I wasn't breaking them.

can it be combined with iweb??

CG, first I'd like to thank you for this great posting.
(actually I just posted this question also in your website, but in case there're other members who also have the same question)
I already published my own website using iweb ( I found iweb really helped me who had no background in website programming language/design ). So my question is, can I combine this RapidWeaver with iweb? I mean iweb didn't provide contact form, but RapidWeaver does have.

Thanks before. and I'm looking forward to reading your answer. :)

I'm not sure how long this will last, so visit my site and follow the directions (takes all of 2 minutes to get it). RapidWeaver is a pretty cool program for building Web sites the easy way - it's what iWeb should have been, if you ask me.

No, I don't work for any sites/companies mentioned, I just came across this offer and couldn't believe that RealMac Software is actually giving away this program.

Thank you :)

Yer welcome... hope everyone enjoys using it. I suppose they're doing this because a newer (maybe Leopard-only version) is around the corner.

And to those worrying about Spam - almost a month later, not a single e-mail besides the serial # to activate the software.

I agree that they are probably preparing an update, so that's why they would want the "old" version to be on as many macs as possible..
However, I would like to remind everyone of the limits set for this offer:

Warning: You must be a UK resident and have purchased Macuser magazine to take advantage of this offer!

They're a small company with a great product. They're in a tricky position now that Apple bundles a similar app for free with every copy of iLife, so make sure you support them if you appreciate Rapidweaver!

Well they just released RapidWeaver 3.6 and guess what... it's a PAID update. At 50% of the original purchase price, this "update" has come under fire in the few reviews I've read already.

That being said, RapidWeaver blows away iWeb (which isn't hard to do). I've only been playing with it for a short while, but it's pretty easy to work with and a lot more flexible than iWeb.

Yeah, I got my serial in less than 5 seconds.

Thanks CG!!

Edit:

Ahhhh this is the serial number for the older version of Rapidweaver. Oh well...

Well, seeing as how about 20 people have already apparently received Rapidweaver for free and AFAIK all previous RW updates were free, I don't think this paid update is such a horrible deal...

Bear in mind, a lot of work goes into creating a product like this, and whilst I agree that the features they've added compared with version 3.5 aren't that spectacular, at least they have a good track record of providing lots of feature-packed post-purchase updates.

Well I got in too late for the free use because it says this when I try to use the serial:
Because of all the awesome new features in RapidWeaver 3.6, you'll need to purchase an upgrade. As a loyal customer, you'll receive a huge discount. Don't worry, it's fast, simple and secure!

It does look like a nice program but for me personally the only feature I'd really use is the photo album feature. It is nice but I think Jalbum is good enough for me.
