I love those Geico Caveman Commercials, but there is no way it would survive as a Sitcom. I read this from CNN. I really hope they don't make it into a show, it'd be such a waste of money for a show that won't last more than 2 seasons.
The commercials aren't THAT bad, but not near as good as what the had when trying to trick you into thinking it's a reality show or soap opera, and then throwing that line in there "I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching to Geico".
You can't beat their original commercials that made them known well among the public.
Might be a breath of fresh air but who knows where the ratings will end up. I'll watch it at least once. Another new show is Are you smarter than a 5th grader with Jeff Foxworthy. I guess that game show is pretty high in the ratings right now but don't know how long it will last.
People tend to get bored pretty quick these days.
This Caveman show would definitely be better than American Idol, Dancing with the Stars (Stars meaning retired sports figures and people who had walk-on roles in obscure films), or CSI (which has acting that's almost as bad as daytime soap operas). Sadly, I don't think that even if they hired a comic genius as a director that they would be able to save this caveman show though.
if they kept that "office" feel, it might be ok. not like rescue me or heroes or anything, but better than reba or two and half men or world according to jim, etc, etc, feh!
