im new here, dont even have my mac yet....but what's faster, 1ghz g3 or 800mhz g4.
thanks, i couldnt find like a conversion chart or anything...

when i was at the apple store just 6 days ago (left with a powerbook :) ) i asked if i would be better off getting the 900 mHz g3 or the 867 g4 and he said there is a huge performance increase with the g4 just because of the way that it is coded and the processes are written

I would say the G4 would be faster at any available speeds... Though, you cant beat the g5 at any relative speed :)
