I have just upgraded from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion.

On both the 13" MacBook Pro built-in display and the mirrored HP 2311x monitor the screen is not filled a it was with Snow Leopard.

What can I do?

Thank you!

In any app window click on the arrows in the extreme upper right corner.

Dear Nick,

Thank you for your reply.

There are no arrows. It appears the the screen is full to the top and bottom but not to the sides.

Searching for a solution I found that I may have to use the HP 2311x menu to adjust the screen but extending to the sides may distort the view.

Ok...thinking about what was written again. Maybe the resolution is not set properly on the displays.

If you have a 13" MacBook Pro...display resolution for the MBP should be 1280 x 800. The HP display should be set at 1920 X 1080.

The "Display" preferences should NOT be set to "mirror mode"...it should be set to "Extended Desktop".
