Hello and thanks in advance,

I just came across a used powerbook (15" G4 1.5/1.5 30gig 10.4.9), and have found out the drive is UFS formatted. Id like to reformat the drive to HFS extended format, but have no idea how, or the safest/best method. Loss of applications/info is not a problem, as the computer is pretty much wiped clean as it is.

Thanks,

Rich

You'd need to boot off the installation discs and during setup, select "tools> disk utility" from the menu bar.

Then select 'erase' and choose 'HFS+ (Journaled)' as the file system.
