I have a late 2020 M1 MacBook Pro running MacOS 15.5.
This morning I plugged in a USB C hub with 2 external drives plugged into it. One drive would not moun, not even using Disk Utilitie. I shut down the computer and unplugged the hub. When I tried to reboot the computer it shows a circle with an ! In it. After going to the website on the screen, it seems the Firmware has been corrupted.
iI understand that I need another Mac to revive or restore the firmware.
I live in an assisted living facility and nobody here has a Mac.
My question is is there a way to get this computer to boot without another Mac?

Thank you for any suggestions
Ken

You should be able to get into Recovery at startup, by holding the power button down until you see startup options.

Thank you for the reply.
have tried doing that, but it keeps showing the Apple logo then a black screen. It cycles through these screens 3 or 4 times then it shows the screen I attached to my original post.
Thank you agai.
