Hello people for some reason my firewire on my macbook seems to be knocking out other firewire devices such as my external hard drive and my my motu. I am daisy chaining them as i only have one port but my G4 was fine with this. Is the only way to combat this to buy a self powered firewire hub ?

I have 2 powered 3.5", and 1 unpowered 2.5" external hard-drives. They are connected daisy chained to my MB and I do not have any problems. I supose if yours are not powered externally it could be a power issue?
