Wasn't sure where to post this. My apologies if it should be in the OS section.

My Firefox will not open. The icon in the dock bounces up and down after I click on it, but nothing happens. When I open Force Quit, it doen't list Firefox as an open app.

Thoughts?

Is Firefox installed in the Applications folder? Sounds like it may have been running from a .dmg image.

A simple start would be to simply reinstall the application. If that doesn't work, we can remove the profile (which will be a last resort).

Okay.

I'm a dummy, so bear with me: Do you recommend that I do this by 1) taking the current app. file out of the apps. folder and trashing it, then b) downloading a new Foxfire from in Internet?

Thanks.

Yep, that's perfectly fine - that ought to do the job.
